Architecture has been accused in the modern world of losing its origin as the cradle of built desire. What was once the pure fire rendering of Eros within real material has been replaced by the cool calculations of technology, the aesthetic distance of formalism, and the engineer's functionalism. This competition asks you, like a yearning bitter-sweet lover, to express your deepest architectural desire. Your desire should take the form of an architectural model the size of your heart, using materials which express your hidden longing.
